Electrical Specifications
AlohaV2 is equipped with a EN50155 certified DC/DC converter. Any continuous source can thus supply the board as long as it complies with the following ratings:
Version | Supply voltage range (V) | Minimum required current (mA) |
---|---|---|
AlohaV2 xG24 | 10-36 | 400 |
AlohaV2 xG110 | 45-160 | 100 |
N.B. : "x" in the chart refers to cellular capabilities (3 for 3G, 4 for 4G).
N.B. : the minimum required current is the minimum continuous current your power source must be able to deliver. Current peaks may be observed, especially when using cellular network for wireless communications.
Electrical protections
A slowblow type fuse calibrated for twice the minimum current is placed in series with the input supply. It can be changed or replaced with another of same dimensions (cartridge of 20 mm length and 5 mm diameter) by accessing the onboard fuse holder.
Input supply is also protected against reverse polarity.
Electrical pinout
The input power supply pins are located in the upper front connector. Pin n°1 shall be connected to the positive voltage while pin n°2 shall be connected to the voltage reference:
